Built by Glenn L. Martin Company in Omaha, Nebraska. Delivered to the U. S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-29-25-MO Superfortress serial number 42-65280. Ferried overseas to North Field on Tinian.
Wartime History
Assigned to the 20th Air Force (20th AF), 313th Bomb Wing (313th BW), 504th Bombardment Group (504th BG), 421st Bombardment Squadron. (421st BS). Nicknamed "Dina Might". Tail Code ◯ E 29 (Circle E 29).
Mission History
On May 23, 1945 (Mission 181) took off from North Field on Tinian Island piloted by James L. Hardison on a night bombing mission against Tokyo. Returning, this B-29 crash landed and was destroyed. The crew survived unhurt.
